Make Your Own Dog Paw Wax
Most dog owners know that your dog's paws deal with a lot. Whether they've been exposed to salt and ice or even hot summer pavement, your dog's foot pads can become dry, cracked or sore. Products like paw wax help form a protective barrier between your dog's paws and the outside environment, while also keeping them soft and moisturized.
You only need a few key ingredients to make your own dog paw wax at home. It's simple!
Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons olive or coconut oil
2 Tablespoons beeswax
2 Tablespoons shea butter
1/2 tsp of Vitamin E oil (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Place a bowl on top of a pot of boiling water to create a double boiler.
Step 2: Add all of your ingredients to the bowl and stir gently to incorporate. Wait for the ingredients to melt.
Step 3: Once completely melted and combined, poor the liquid paw wax into small jars or tins. Be careful, it's hot! Allow to completely cool and harden before capping and use.
