Here at Earth Rated, making things better for dogs and people is the reason we’re excited to come to work each day. A ton of effort goes into making better products, of course, but being better also includes being a better member of our community, a better workplace and a better environmental steward. Our focus on these three areas has resulted in Earth Rated becoming a certified B Corporation!
So, what does being a certified B Corp mean? Let our co-founder Monica explain:
A Better Community Member
We’re big believers in giving back and we believe every company can be a force for good. We want our whole team to feel connected not only to our customers and partners, but to each other and our communities. That’s why, when it comes to giving back, we’re always seeking out different ways to make a difference. Every year, we donate a ton of Earth Rated fleece blankets to shelters and rescues all across North America. We also partnered with (RED) – alongside some of the world’s most iconic brands—to help fight global health emergencies, like AIDS and COVID-19, and strengthen healthcare systems in communities that need it most. These are just a few examples of the ways in which we prioritize making our communities better and we have big plans to come!
A Better Workplace
If you've been keeping up with us on social media, you already know our office is dog-friendly. Our open collaborative workspace is shared by amazing pups and equally amazing people. But that’s just one of the ways we make Earth Rated a place where everyone feels welcomed and fulfilled. Our employees benefit from a health & dental plan, equitable & competitive compensation - including a profit sharing program - as well as free daily catered lunches. To top it off, the team has regular access to our very own private gym with certified trainers offering circuit training and yoga.
A Better Environmental Steward
We advocate for responsible pet ownership by encouraging dog owners to use our bags to pick up, because we know that dog poop can contribute to pollution in our waterways. Our Responsibility and Innovation departments work closely together to integrate environmental considerations into our product development. Our wipes are manufactured at a facility that uses 100% solar-power, and that's just one example of how we're dedicated to producing high-quality products that are responsibly made. We are excited to join this global movement of purpose-driven leaders and we are committed to having a positive impact on our people, our suppliers, our community, and the environment we all share.
