Celebrating International Women's Day at Earth Rated

International Women's Day is a global day for shouting out and celebrating women's achievement, for accelerating women's equality, and for raising awareness against bias. Here at Earth Rated, we work every day to find new and creative ways to help the dogs in the shelter system, while also being there for the people who devote their time to making their lives better.
We’re a team that includes former shelter workers not to mention many rescued dogs, so we know first-hand just how much goes into giving dogs a second chance at life. According to studies, "women make up approximately 80% of the volunteers and workers in the animal protection movement.” We’re always looking for ways to give back to the people who devote their time to helping dogs in the shelter system. Research shows that women are more likely to volunteer for organizations in the areas of social and health services, particularly unpaid care work beyond the household. "I’ve been with Earth Rated for nearly 10 years now and have built so many long-lasting relationships with the amazing women behind pet rescue organizations who are so passionate, dedicated, and inspiring.
